In writing this post on dating, many asked: Do you have an example of what a dating manifesto looks like? Is there a guide on how to write it?
So here it is. A few ideas on how I believe one should approach writing it, along with an example of my own.
I welcome any comments, objections, ideas on any of the below! Shoot me an email [email protected] or DM on @cocobliu.
Mini guide on writing the dating manifesto.
***Goals—***The goal in writing this dating manifesto is two-fold: 1) self-inquiry and bringing clarity to what we want in love, 2) using the power of self-selection to find the like-minded by publishing and sharing this manifesto to the world (let it be link on the dating profile or on twitter).
***Get ready—***Sit down at a quiet place that inspires you, a coffee shop or a nook at your apartment that you love, put on some music, give yourself a solid chunk of time.
(inspired by Steven Schlafman’s end of year reflections)
***Priming—***A few parameters, try to speak authentically, confidently, unapologetically. Only by being honest with who you are will you be able to find those who truly resonates, and will value you for who you are.
